THE ESSENTIALS
WIFI
Since The Denizen is a brand new cabin, we are still waiting on wifi to be hooked up with the local internet provider. In the meantime, please find the Verizon Jetpack Hot Spot located on the fireplace mantel.
TO CONNECT – Press the power button, use top left button to find the screen “5GHz WIFI info”. Click “OK” to view network name and password.
The charger is located in the kitchen in the far right drawer next to the fridge.
TEMPERATURE
You will find the temperature control to the left of the kitchen next to the laundry closet. We recommend a setting of 72-75F, which we find keeps the cabin at a comfortable temperature.
If you prefer to sleep in a cooler temperature, there is a fan in the master suite, with the control panel next to the entry door.
LAUNDRY
There is a washer and dryer located behind a sliding door adjacent the half bath. There are Public Goods laundry detergent pods available for you to use, which you can find below the sink in the half bath. To operate the machines, simply select the program you want, close the door, hold the start button for 3s (it will say, 1…2..3…). It may take a minute or so to detect your laundry (if you are doing a light load).
TRASH
Please dispose your accumulated trash in the the trash bin located at the front of the driveway. Thank you!
But first, coffee
Good morning! You’ve got THREE options to brew yourself the perfect cup of coffee to start your day.
1) Use the SMEG Drip Coffee Machine, to prepare deliciously aromatic drip coffee.
2) Use the French Press for a full-bodied, rich tasting coffee.
2) Or, use the Moka Pot to prepare a robust and hearty cup of coffee, not quite as strong as an espresso, but bolder than a classic drip.
I, Chelsea – your host, first began using the Moka Pot when I was living in Italy. I found that the espresso in Italy was a bit more than I could handle, but I loved the deep, rich flavour. And so, I began using the very popular Moka Pot – which I find gives a taste similar to an espresso, although less intense.
The Moka Pot was invented in 1933 by Italian engineer Alfonso Bialetti, using water pressurized by steam to brew strong, espresso-like coffee. You can find a Moka Pot in 90 percent of Italian households, and is the standard way of making coffee at home in Southern Europe.

CURATED PLAYLISTS - COMING SOON
Elevate your experience and enhance the ambiance of the space with curated Spotify playlists. You can use the bluetooth speaker located on the kitchen shelf. It looks like a beige, circle – it can be hard to miss. The speaker looks like a piece of decor.
The charger is located in a kitchen drawer, if needed.
